Position Summary
The Reliability Engineering Team Leader serves as a pivotal figure within the Reliability department, directly reporting to the Reliability Manager. This role encompasses both leadership and hands-on engineering responsibilities, focusing on the mentorship and supervision of Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) engineers to achieve the site’s reliability goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Compliance: Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the formulation of the annual Reliability budget and update long-term reliability strategies.
  • Team Development: Oversee the performance and professional growth of team members, ensuring their roles and responsibilities are fulfilled.
  • Technical Support: Provide engineering guidance during the design and installation phases of projects, aiming to optimize lifecycle costs and enhance asset availability.
  • Reliability Improvement: Actively engage in initiatives aimed at maximizing equipment reliability and support during outages and turnarounds.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations to determine root causes of incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Best Practices Implementation: Develop and refine preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance tasks while assisting in troubleshooting and repair efforts.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of six years of experience in the chemical or refinery sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in turnaround projects and collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Proven leadership and organizational capabilities.
  • Integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Experience in project and budget management.
