We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to join our team at Keller Executive Search. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day human resource support for all clinical and non-clinical personnel. The Human Resources Director will ensure compliance with human resource policies and procedures, employee relations, compensation, training, and state and federal labor law while supporting the management team to achieve business objectives and execute people strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Human Resource Support: Provide consultation and support to supervisors, managers, and HR Administrators regarding the correct application of company policy, performance management, discipline, and coaching.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Protect the interests of both employees and the company in accordance with policies, governmental laws, and regulations.
- HRIS Management: Ensure all federal, state, local laws, and corporate HR-related compliance matters are proactively managed, including ADA, EEO, and FMLA programs.
- Talent Acquisition: Interview candidates with hiring managers to provide input and guidance in the talent selection process.
- New Hire Onboarding: Manage new recruiting, hiring, and onboarding.
- Employee Relations: Conduct internal investigations with employee complaints and work closely with executive leadership.
- Leave Management: Manage employee leave of absences, including personal, medical, and FMLA/CFRA.
- HR Policy Development: Assist with the development and recommendation of human resources policies and procedures.
- Payroll Support: Assist with Payroll by reviewing timesheets and editing punches for Full-Time employees and temp agency timesheet submissions.
- Termination and Exit Interviews: Review terminations and conduct exit interviews.
- HR System Implementation: Support implementation and transition to new HRIS system.
- Unemployment Claims: Process unemployment claims and wage orders accordingly.
- Confidentiality and Data Protection: Maintain employee's confidential personnel folders.
- Training and Development: Assist with training programs and ensure employee compliance.
- HR Knowledge and Compliance: Maintain human resource knowledge with state and federal law by attending webinars, seminars, and conferences.
- HR Reporting and Analytics: Gather and analyze HR data and prepare HR reports as needed.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of human resources experience.
- HRIS Experience: Proven experience utilizing an HRIS/Timekeeping system, preferably Paycom.
- Dynamic Environment: Experience working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, comfortable with change and ambiguity.
- Labor Law Knowledge: Knowledge of labor law compliance - STATE/FEDERAL, ADA, EEO, FMLA, CFRA, LOA, COBRA, etc.
- Independence and Communication: Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Coaching and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Microsoft Office Skills: Proven experience utilizing Microsoft computer applications (O365).
