Your Role:

The Jacobs Lone Wolf Team is dedicated to the support, operation, and maintenance of the Distributed Continuity Integrated Network - Top Secret Enterprise Services (DCIN-TS ES). This network is a Department of Defense (DoD) provided, TS/SCI, integrated voice, video, and data global communications system that enhances collaboration among senior leaders and essential personnel.

We seek candidates who demonstrate a robust work ethic and the capability to function as integral team members in achieving mission goals and supporting our clients. We appreciate detail-oriented individuals who can think critically and respond swiftly to emerging challenges. Success in this position requires the ability to quickly adapt and learn to manage both the front and back end of new technologies and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operations for a large-scale enterprise (3,000+) Tier III voice and video services, collaborating with Network Engineering and Help Desk/Network Operations teams to resolve service issues.
  • Monitor and assess the Unified Collaboration environment of telephony and video conferencing endpoints for system performance, providing proactive solutions to problems or outages.
  • Develop troubleshooting protocols and document significant system events affecting services. Play a crucial role in creating, reviewing, and presenting best practices and support services to sustain system functionality.
  • Plan and manage all Voice and Video system patches, upgrades, or service updates that affect ongoing operations. Respond promptly to system vulnerability updates with clear implementation strategies and timelines.
  • Maintain daily reporting on system status and resolution of high-visibility issues.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of VMWare and Cisco Unified Computing System integration.
  • Collaborate with network engineers to troubleshoot complex issues involving VoIP and converged technologies.
  • Administer systems including, but not limited to, Cisco CUCM, Unity Connection, Jabber, and CIPC.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI.
  • 15 years of directly relevant experience.
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (higher versions acceptable).
  • Current CCNA certification.
  • Telecommunications technical experience in installing, administering, and upgrading Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager, IM & Presence services), Cisco Telepresence, Cisco Prime Collaboration, Cisco Unity Connection (Jabber), and Unified Contact Center Express. Experience with upgrading Cisco Unified Communications Manager to version 12.5 is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in implementing, troubleshooting, and documenting converged networks utilizing Cisco UC capabilities.
  • Experience in troubleshooting voice and video issues in enterprise or service provider environments under time constraints involving complex networks.
  • Responsible for providing and managing Tier III level resolution and customer support for VoIP and DVTC issues across the enterprise.
  • Ability to configure and maintain IOS environments for voice gateways.
  • Experience in deploying and managing server-based and router-based dial plans, as well as Cisco Servers (VM and traditional platform).
  • Proficient in troubleshooting common VoIP and VTC issues.
  • Understanding of Tandberg Management System and license requirements for devices and servers.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting installation and break/fix issues associated with Voice and/or Video over IP products.
  • Lead UC team for ticket resolution for voice and video end-users, coordinating with Cisco TAC and Business Support groups.
  • Experience in configuring Cisco routers as VoIP gateways and understanding Cisco IOS command syntax.
  • Experience reviewing Ethernet packet captures and analyzing network traffic flows.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a UC environment for a large enterprise.
  • Familiarity with the Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN).
  • Knowledge of DoD/IC voice/video technologies.
