We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unified Communications Specialist to join our team at Jacobs. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex voice and video systems for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Operations Lead: Provide leadership and oversight for large-scale enterprise voice and video services, working closely with Network Engineering and Help Desk/Network Operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Track and monitor the Unified Collaboration environment, identifying and resolving performance issues and outages in a timely manner.
- Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain detailed documentation of system events, procedures, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- System Maintenance and Upgrades: Plan, manage, and execute voice and video system patch, upgrades, or service updates, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Security and Compliance: Provide timely response to system vulnerability updates, developing clear implementation plans and schedules to ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
- System Administration: Maintain daily system status reporting, ticket resolution, and high-visibility issue management, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Active Top Secret Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI or the ability to acquire Top Secret/SCI.
- 10+ Years of Experience: Must have at least 10 years of directly related experience in Unified Communications, with a strong background in voice and video systems.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification: Must have current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (any higher version also acceptable).
- CCNA Collaboration Certification: Must have current CCNA Collaboration certification.
- Telecommunications Experience: Must have experience installing, administering, and upgrading Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager, IM & Presence services), Cisco Telepresence, Cisco Prime Collaboration, Cisco Unity Connection (Jabber), and Unified Contact Center Express.
- Network Engineering Experience: 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a strong background in converged networks.
- VoIP Experience: 8+ years of experience in VoIP, with a strong background in voice and video systems.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification: Must have CompTIA Security+ certification.
