Job Overview

Position Summary

ROLE SUMMARY

  • Implement sales initiatives that enhance the overall success of sales objectives.
  • Act as the product authority for the Medline sales team.
  • Support sales personnel with: identifying targets, presenting the product range, conducting training sessions, facilitating transitions, organizing trials, overseeing trial execution, and performing post-trial evaluations and implementations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Engagement

  • Collaborate with sales representatives to develop targeted account lists.

Strategic Planning / Business Assessment

  • Aid in executing the overarching strategy and market entry plan.
  • Conduct and present business assessments in collaboration with Division Product Management.
  • Assist Medline Sales and Product Management teams in leveraging the business assessment.
  • Prepare and deliver business assessments/plans to Medline teams to ensure feasibility within budget, timeline, and environmental constraints.
  • Guide Medline teams in crafting and presenting customer needs assessments to ensure feasibility within budget, timeline, and environmental constraints.
  • Generate competitive analysis documentation comparing products with primary competitors by collaborating with the PM team in the division.

Client Interaction

  • Develop and present technical/clinical proposals illustrating how Medline's products can fulfill customer requirements and how they can be effectively integrated and executed.
  • In support of the sales team, cultivate relationships with decision-makers and external stakeholders to gather and relay feedback to the Division regarding customer needs and supporting specialists.
  • Deliver comprehensive presentations and product demonstrations to clients and sales representatives.

Program Management / Implementation

  • Oversee various stages from program development, trial assistance, to implementation.
  • Provide support to Medline sales representatives through various communication channels.
  • May maintain an ongoing role in customer support to resolve client issues related to the use of organizational products/services.
  • Conduct physical product transitions when divisional support is required.

Training / Education

  • Design and deliver customer training sessions/technical workshops.
  • Create product training and resource materials (tools, resources, presentations, manuals).
  • Monitor and evaluate quality inquiries or customer complaints. Troubleshoot issues and assist in diagnosing the type of issue (education, product).

Product Innovation

  • Conduct market analysis and identify and monitor market trends that influence sales, service, and product development.
  • Provide insights and suggestions for product enhancements and potential new offerings to relevant departments.
  • Identify trends based on requests and interactions with sales to ascertain market needs and potential innovations.

Performance Measurement / Utilization Review

  • Collaborate with clients to monitor their metrics and utilization.
  • Track sales forecast objectives. Document activities on accounts and assist in closing deals to achieve these objectives.
  • Provide updates on significant account closures, implementation timelines, and revenue generation.
  • Product Knowledge / Industry Insight
  • Serve as the product authority within the organization to aid in the development of technical presentations and product strategies.
  • Engage with professional organizations; participate in national, regional, and local industry events, and technical training sessions.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a business or clinical discipline.

Work Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in product management, product development, or sales.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Demonstrated foundational knowledge of products, customer needs, and market dynamics.
  • Ability to analyze market trends to effectively create presentations, provide recommendations, and forecast business outcomes.
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and facilitating collaboration to identify and implement solutions to complex challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess situations and initiate actions independently.
  • Proven time management skills, including prioritizing, organizing, and tracking details while meeting deadlines for multiple projects with varying timelines.
  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations to diverse audience levels within and outside the organization.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Position generally requires travel 50% to 75% of the time for business purposes.
  • Work environment includes office settings and medical facilities.
  • Position may require non-traditional work hours during training sessions.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$85, $123,760.00 Annual

This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
