Job Summary

The Business Account Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect for new customers and develop sales strategies to achieve revenue goals
  • Sell bundled services to new customers and expand the customer base within the assigned territory
  • Develop and implement a Territory Plan to increase sales and revenue
  • Work with Account Coordinators to ensure accurate and timely administrative work
  • Focus on selling and hand off customer service inquiries to the Customer Service department
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities
  • Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model
  • Business-to-business sales experience
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets
Working Conditions

Office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather

Exposure to moderate noise levels
