Lead Game Software Engineer

Are you passionate about gaming and eager to contribute to the development of exceptional games? Creative Heads is on the lookout for a skilled Senior Game Engineer to take charge of adapting our innovative games for contemporary and future console platforms.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong proficiency in C++, have a track record of successful game launches, and be knowledgeable about console adaptation processes, with a particular enthusiasm for strategy games.
This is a full-time, salaried role, and we offer relocation support for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop foundational systems including window management, controller support, rendering, audio, user management, and networking.
• Design, construct, and sustain core systems using modern C++ on multicore processors.
• Provide mentorship and collaborate with fellow developers.
• Partner closely with Design, Production, and Art teams to outline requirements and implementation strategies.
• Oversee timelines and milestones to align with stakeholder expectations.
• Collaborate with production and QA teams to resolve issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
• 7+ years of experience in the gaming industry.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Strong background in C++.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5.
• A genuine passion for games and game design.
• Self-driven with a knack for problem-solving.
• Experience with modern graphics APIs and multicore programming.
• Expertise in areas such as optimization, networking, parallel and distributed systems, UI/UX, AI, physics, data management, graphics, gameplay, audio, HLSL/GLSL shaders, pipelines, and terrain.
Able to quickly adapt to new technologies and deliver results in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
• Proficient with version control systems (e.g., Perforce, SVN, etc.).
