Position Overview:

The General Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of multiple dining establishments within the airport environment. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring optimal performance of all restaurant and market operations, focusing on staff management, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of teamwork, pride, and success among staff.
  • Manage the procurement process and oversee unit financial performance.
  • Monitor weekly cost and sales forecasts to ensure profitability.
  • Implement effective staffing strategies while adhering to labor budgets.
  • Lead and mentor management teams and staff to achieve operational goals.
  • Uphold high standards for food quality and customer service.
  • Guide teams in meeting company performance benchmarks.
  • Facilitate comprehensive training programs for staff development.
  • Define roles and responsibilities for management personnel, setting clear expectations.
  • Drive the unit towards achieving financial targets.
  • Maintain a positive and safe work environment for all employees.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts for front-of-house staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage market operations within designated areas.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred degree in hospitality management or culinary arts.
  • 3 to 5 years of senior management experience in multi-unit operations.
  • Experience in retail environments is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, including P&L statements.
  • Background in culinary arts and fine dining is beneficial.
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service and team collaboration.
  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on developing team members.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends.
