Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail onto aircraft with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Operate ground service equipment such as pushbacks, tugs, belt loaders, and baggage carts.
  • Read and analyze aircraft load sheets, checked baggage tags, and cargo labels to ensure accurate handling.
  • Marshalling aircraft to and from gates, ensuring safe movement on the ground.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and airline regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, communicating effectively with team members and airline personnel.
  • Lift heavy objects in varying weather conditions, maintaining a high level of physical fitness.
  • Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for ramp operations, adapting to changing flight schedules and priorities.
  • Exceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards, providing exceptional support to our airline partners.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents.
  • Ability to use electronic devices, including iPads, tablets, computers, and mobile devices.
  • Effective communication skills, both in-person and through electronic means.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal, as applicable).
  • Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operation.

Physical Demands

  • Lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Prolonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment.
  • Push, pull, reach, and grasp with hands.
  • Work at elevated heights.
  • Exposure to outdoor elements.
  • Bend, stretch, squat, and kneel.
  • Crawl and crouch in confined spaces.
  • Exposure to moderate and high noise levels.
  • Ability to hear and respond to spoken voice and audible alarms.
  • Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
