Job Overview

The Project Manager at Digifabshop plays a pivotal role in overseeing the management, indirect supervision, and synchronized execution of all projects and production tasks while adhering to the company's quality control benchmarks. As representatives of Digifabshop, Project Managers are masters of their trade, possessing a sharp attention to detail, and consistently conduct themselves in a professional and considerate manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guarantee the success of assigned projects from initiation to completion while upholding the scope of work, critical path timelines, and budget constraints, all in compliance with company quality standards.
  • Examine incoming shop drawings, blueprints, and renderings to formulate project proposals.
  • Obtain quotes for hardware, materials, and services from vendors and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for the seamless execution of assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to ensure the timely acquisition of all necessary supplies and hardware.
  • Investigate and recommend new materials and suppliers as required.
  • Prepare project proposals and estimates in conjunction with the estimating team and Senior Management.
  • Organize daily and weekly work assignments for production staff in collaboration with Production Management.
  • Maintain timely and precise communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Identify potential risks and devise mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
  • Ensure that all production work meets quality standards and design specifications.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations as necessary to the Director of Projects.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and directives from management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, and/or SolidWorks for various drawing and design applications.
  • Proficient in MS Office, NetSuite, and Google Docs.
  • Skilled in using electronic communication tools such as email, chat, and cloud-based collaborative platforms.
  • Able to identify complex problems and review relevant information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Comprehends the visual-spatial translation of 2D drawings into 3D objects as it pertains to Digifabshop's project work.
  • Exhibits excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Possesses basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) along with a working knowledge of fractions, decimals, and standard-to-metric conversion.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing projects in the manufacturing or fabrication sector.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Visual Acuity - The ability to discern details at close range.
  • Static Strength - The ability to bend, squat, reach, stretch, and move to take accurate measurements.
  • Maintain Stationary Position – The ability to stand or sit continuously for up to 2 hours.
  • Heavy Lifting – The capacity to lift up to 40 lbs.
Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this role, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, fumes, and loud noises.
