Position Overview:

As a Senior Program Manager at Meta, you will play a pivotal role in the development of cutting-edge Augmented Reality (AR) software technologies. This position is integral to the success of our innovative product lines, focusing on the management and execution of software development initiatives that enhance the capabilities of future AR devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct complex, cross-departmental program execution within a large organizational framework, collaborating with teams in product management, user experience, software engineering, hardware, firmware, quality assurance, and data science.
  • Formulate and maintain comprehensive program plans, ensuring timely delivery through effective coordination across various teams and domains.
  • Lead the launch and release processes related to software features, models, and firmware, ensuring all deliverables meet high standards of quality.
  • Influence and drive technical strategies, proactively identifying potential risks and devising mitigation plans, while aligning priorities and setting a clear direction for cross-functional initiatives.
  • Establish best practices and key performance indicators to measure success, while designing and implementing scalable solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Communicate program status, planning updates, issues, and risks to stakeholders in a timely manner, simplifying complex topics for clarity to both program stakeholders and executive management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering management, or product management, with a proven track record in software development leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering technical programs or products from conception to market.
  • Strong understanding of software and hardware product development methodologies.
  • Proven ability to deliver innovative software technologies effectively.
  • Experience in defining and improving software engineering processes at scale.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in decision-making and presenting to large audiences.
  • Experience in developing or working on large-scale distributed systems, focusing on client-server interactions, scalability, reliability, and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence, Assistant, and Machine Learning technologies.
  • Experience with embedded systems and software for consumer electronics.
  • Knowledge of Augmented Reality technologies.
