Job Summary:

Houston Engineering, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead and manage activities and people on transportation civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in project development, project management, and transportation civil engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage activities and people on transportation civil engineering projects.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure designs are in accordance with federal, city, and DOT specifications.
  • Prepare or oversee detailed engineering analyses, schedules, technical reports, and other project deliverables.
  • Create and foster a project team culture of superior service for clients.
  • Interact with clients, regulatory agencies, and the public as necessary for project completion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer license in the applicable state or the ability to obtain license within 6 months.
  • 8+ years of experience in the design and construction of state DOT and county highway projects.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of project team roles and responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with groups both internally and externally.
