Role Summary

The Fleet Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the drivers within a designated region. This role focuses on coaching and managing drivers to enhance their performance and safety, ensuring a positive work environment and meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the drivers.
  • Facilitate effective communication with drivers through phone and system messages, fostering a positive atmosphere to enhance driver engagement and reduce turnover.
  • Monitor driver detention time.
  • Review Lytx events and provide coaching to drivers, documenting behaviors as necessary.
  • Address HOS violations in Geotab and coach drivers accordingly.
  • Track driver attendance, pay, and status in the management system.
  • Provide ongoing leadership to ensure excellent customer service and achievement of KPIs.
  • Collaborate with company stakeholders to develop innovative solutions for driver retention.
  • Oversee driver payroll and ensure quality home time for drivers.
  • Ensure compliance in driver training.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
  • Two (2) years or more of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Two (2) years or more of direct supervisory or leadership experience required.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) required.
  • Advanced knowledge of the logistics industry required.
  • Understanding of local and federal regulations required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Supply Chain Management components required.
