Position Summary:

We are in search of a Retail Operations Supervisor with at least six (6+) months of management or supervisory experience. Retail Operations Supervisors are responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the store and fostering a positive and productive atmosphere. This role will collaborate with the Store Manager to lead and develop store personnel, attract and retain top talent, achieve financial objectives, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction. This position is pivotal in establishing a customer-focused environment

Together with the Store Manager, this role will review store financial reports to ensure that financial targets are achieved. You will be expected to adhere to the company's asset protection protocols, promote our services, and focus on acquiring new customers. All employees engage with a diverse range of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (*in FFL locations), and much more.

This position offers an hourly wage, PLUS Retail Operations Supervisors earn commission based on productivity and a bonus tied to store performance. The actual compensation for successful Retail Operations Supervisors will depend on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.

Key Responsibilities of a Retail Operations Supervisor include:

•Create a customer-focused environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and promptly addressing customer concerns.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of staff to ensure their development meets the prescribed FirstCash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including, but not limited to, counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring all procedures are followed to safeguard assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer processes and procedures within the store, which include inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise-level reporting.
  • Evaluate the store's financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure that operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure the value and integrity of all loans issued.
  • Complete the assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure that they understand the store's mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • The Retail Operations Supervisor acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

•Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time (in accordance with federal, state, and local law), some of which include, but are not limited to, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
  • Employees may be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building (within our parking lots) or to retrieve products stored in exterior storage buildings or other areas.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Should be able to work in multiple locations, as business needs dictate.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
  • Retail Operations Supervisors will work 40+ hours a week. Hours worked are based on the needs of the business and are not guaranteed.
  • Computer literate and able to operate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical skills
  • Cash handling experience is required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission/store bonus incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. An employee has the potential to earn 2-8%, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Active employees have six (6) possible metrics by which commissions can be earned. Additionally, employees have the potential to achieve commission payout multipliers of up to four times (4x), based on five (5) specific store metrics. Retail Operations Supervisors can receive an additional bonus based on the overall store performance.
