Parman Energy is seeking a dedicated Safety and Fleet Operations Specialist to enhance our team. This role is primarily administrative, focusing on the coordination of safety training alongside the Fleet Safety & Maintenance Director. The Specialist will also monitor and assess staff compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), as well as regulations set forth by the EPA, MSHA, and DOT, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols. This position requires a minimum of 25% travel to various facilities as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Educate drivers on daily reporting processes, including vehicle inspection reports, hours of service documentation, incident reports, and other mandatory paperwork.
  • Maintain comprehensive records to track compliance with MSHA, EPA, DOT, OSHA, and USCG requirements.
  • Compile and report necessary Federal, State, and Internal documentation.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities, evaluating safe work practices among all personnel.
  • Foster and promote a consistently safe working environment.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Fleet Safety & Maintenance Manager.
  • Offer direction, guidance, and training, establishing schedules for location managers while adhering to standardized training protocols.
  • Lead classroom sessions for new hire safety training.
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Engage in a minimum of 25% travel to other facilities for the purpose of conducting new hire safety training.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in safety-related roles is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED); or at least two years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Experience with OSHA and FMCSA regulations is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Must exhibit a positive demeanor and professionalism, with strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Commitment to adhering to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook and training materials, including any updates or revisions.
