Position Overview:

The Employee Relations Specialist is crucial in delivering employment-related guidance and support to both management and staff. This role focuses on preventing and resolving workplace issues and contributes to retention strategies by gathering exit feedback. Key responsibilities encompass performance management, disciplinary actions, record retention, and employee relations oversight. The position ensures thorough, effective, and impartial investigations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive and unbiased investigations utilizing strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Draft employment-related documents, including disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and termination paperwork.
  • Collaborate with leadership on performance management and disciplinary measures.
  • Address inquiries and document progress within the internal ticketing system.
  • Exhibit professionalism and impartiality while managing investigations or resolving disputes.
  • Safeguard confidential information and collaborate with relevant parties on a need-to-know basis.
  • Serve as a supportive resource for new employees with sensitive inquiries or situations.
  • Ensure adherence to EEO, ADA, FMLA, and other federal and state regulations.
  • Encourage a high-performance, positive, and team-oriented culture.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Management, Communications, or a related field, along with three years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Alternatively, 2-4 years of experience in human resources or labor relations, including grievance procedures, investigations, and performance management, is required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, skilled at fostering positive and influential relationships.
