Position Summary

Eriksen Translations is seeking a project manager to enhance our operations for clients across various sectors. This is a fully remote role where the selected candidate will oversee the planning and execution of translation projects, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery to guarantee client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and manage multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficient workflow and timely results.
  • In addition to translation, manage projects that include print and multimedia components such as desktop publishing, subtitling, voice-over, and e-learning modules.
  • Collaborate closely with account managers, participate in project kick-off meetings, and provide regular progress updates.
  • Assemble and supervise project teams, including linguists, typesetters, technical support, and quality assurance specialists.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, manage costs, and issue purchase orders.
  • Create and maintain linguistic assets, including translation memories, glossaries, and style guides.
  • Adhere to established quality assurance procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding production-related matters as needed.
  • Oversee the client review process.
  • Support sales efforts during new client acquisition and onboarding.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of experience in translation or localization project management, with familiarity in multimedia formats being a plus.
  • A college degree in translation, communication, business, technology, or a related field.
  • Exceptional English oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in one or more languages, in addition to English, is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with content management systems (Plunet, XTRF) and industry-standard CAT tools (memoQ, SDL Trados).
  • Experience in multilingual typesetting processes.
  • A flexible, goal-oriented team player who can also work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • A customer service-oriented mindset with the capability to proactively offer new solutions in anticipation of clients' evolving needs.
  • Ability to work productively from home.
