Northfield Liability Technical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Liability Claims Investigator to join our team at Travelers Indemnity Co. As a key member of our claims handling team, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving complex liability claims.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough investigations of liability claims, gathering and analyzing evidence to determine the extent of liability and damages.
- Evaluate claims for recovery potential and develop strategies for resolution.
- Communicate with policyholders, claimants, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, including underwriting, risk management, and legal, to ensure effective claim handling and resolution.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in liability claims handling.
- 5+ years of experience in liability claims handling, with a strong background in investigation, evaluation, and resolution.
- Advanced knowledge of liability claims handling principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
