Position Overview:

As a Retail Operations Leader, you will utilize your managerial expertise to mentor, develop, and inspire your team to achieve excellence in their positions while adhering to our exceptional quality benchmarks. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will act as their trusted partner and oversee daily store functions in their absence. Your leadership will significantly influence overall store success by exemplifying best practices in account management, marketing strategies, and regulatory compliance, all while delivering an unparalleled customer experience in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Mentor, guide, and oversee store personnel to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and company regulations.

- Evaluate financial transaction risks, accurately process loan and pawn applications, check cashing transactions, and ancillary services.

- Cultivate customer relationships and execute daily inbound and outbound call initiatives to drive new business, enhance store profitability, and strengthen brand loyalty.

- Uphold security measures and implement proper opening and closing protocols, including vault and cash drawer management.

- Supervise account management and recovery operations while prioritizing customer service to mitigate losses and charge-off accounts, including conducting collection calls.

- Ensure a compliant work environment by adhering to company policies and local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct store audits, generate reports, and compile financial data to maintain staff compliance.

- Oversee the internal and external appearance of the store, addressing maintenance needs and scheduling necessary services.

- Assist in managing store operations and daily activities in the absence of the General Manager.

- Adapt efficiently in a rapidly evolving environment, managing multiple tasks effectively to meet both individual and team performance objectives.

- Maintain a full-time work schedule with consistent in-person attendance, including weekends. A full-time schedule for this role typically encompasses a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a supervisory or management role within retail, convenience, grocery, financial, or service sectors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in operating phones, Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
  • Must be at least 18 years old (19 in certain regions).
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is required (certain exemptions may apply).
  • Physical requirements include the ability to remain stationary, lift and move up to 25 pounds, navigate freely within and outside the store, and operate mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.

Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership in a sales or customer service-focused role.
  • Experience in retail, sales, or the financial sector.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous and may be necessary for specific locations.
