Position Summary

The Customer Service Branch Coordinator I plays a crucial role in supporting the branch sales team by managing customer inquiries, coordinating special requests, and resolving issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer orders are verified and expedited for accuracy, facilitating timely delivery through collaboration with the Branch Coordination team.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status via phone and email, utilizing the sales database for accurate information retrieval.
  • Coordinate the resolution of issues by liaising with Sales Representatives and customers to ensure a seamless transition from sales to shipping.
  • Assist Sales Representatives in processing customer quotes by conducting stock checks and gathering delivery information through supplier access.
  • Review and process order confirmation files to maintain data accuracy, thereby minimizing sales errors and enhancing quality.
  • Engage in the company’s Total Quality process by adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Support Sales Representatives by returning customer calls, sending samples and sales literature, and preparing customer return authorizations and replacement orders.
  • Provide backup coverage for the Director of First Impressions by managing the switchboard during breaks.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; 6 months of experience in customer support or a similar role preferred, ideally within the Electronics Components industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Competencies

  • Familiarity with company product lines, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong telephone etiquette and capability to compose routine business correspondence.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Competence in computing rates, ratios, and percentages.
