About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Cash Operations Leader to join our team at Johnson Controls International. This is a hybrid position that requires partnership with a large and diverse team of accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and identify key drivers of negative cash flow in every branch team.
  • Schedule and conduct AR calls to follow up and drive activities to close out open items.
  • Assign ownership as required to close out disputes.
  • Monitor legal collections, particularly with local outside counsel.
  • Provide a status summary to the Regional Cash Leader and Finance Director.
  • Assist the Regional Cash Leader and Finance Director in conducting Trade Working Capital financial performance reviews.
  • Identify root causes impacting performance.
  • Prepare and report on the status of disputes in the area, including time to resolve and identification of root causes.
  • Complete a quarterly audit on Accounts Payable to ensure timely payments.
  • Work with the Regional Cash Leader and Finance Director to establish collection goals to achieve Trade Working Capital targets.
  • Identify barriers impacting cash collections.
  • Work with the Regional Cash Leader and Finance Director to propose solutions, including recommended training.
  • Review monthly financial results and business metrics for the region. Identify issues and propose corrective actions to the Regional Controller.
  • Assist with monthly regional performance reviews, including reviewing the backlog of work, balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow.
  • Identify best business practices and facilitate the propagation of these practices to other regions.
Requirements
  • Minimum a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 6+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
  • Wide knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivables, general accounting, and inventory.
  • Solid business understanding of Accounts Receivables, collections, and associated metrics, cash flow metrics, Trade Working Capital, and POC Revenue.
  • Ability to support, monitor, and report financial results in a multi-location field operation.
  • Able to prepare basic Trade Working Capital financial statements.
  • Working understanding of legal collections.
  • Understand inventory, cycle counting, and interpret inventory trends.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate with a range of audiences and personalities.
  • Shared services or customer contact center background and experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication (both oral and written) skills.
  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Must be organized, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
  • ERPs (SAP, iScala, Oracle), HFM.
