About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Cash Leader to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our finance organization, you will play a critical role in driving business results and supporting optimal decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and identify key drivers of negative cash flow in our branch teams.
  • Schedule and conduct AR calls to follow up on open items and drive activities to close them out.
  • Assign ownership to resolve disputes and work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Partner with accounting professionals to manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and general ledger processes.
  • Monitor and analyze under-billed jobs in our branch teams and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide status updates to the Regional Cash Leader and Finance Director on legal collections and other key performance metrics.
  • Assist in conducting Trade Working Capital financial performance reviews, including DSO, under-billed metrics, aged AR, and collection performance.
  • Prepare and report on dispute status, including time to resolve and root causes.
  • Complete quarterly audits on accounts payable to ensure timely payment.
  • Work with the Regional Cash Leader and Finance Director to establish collection goals and develop strategies to achieve Trade Working Capital targets.
  • Identify and address barriers to cash collections, proposing solutions and recommending training as needed.
  • Review monthly financial results and business metrics, identifying issues and proposing corrective actions.
  • Assist with monthly regional performance reviews, including reviewing backlog, balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Wide knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, and inventory processes.
  • Solid business understanding of accounts receivable, collections, and associated metrics, cash flow metrics, Trade Working Capital, and POC Revenue.
  • Ability to support, monitor, and report financial results in a multi-location field operation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a range of audiences and personalities.
  • Shared services or customer contact center background and experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in ERPs such as SAP, iScala, and Oracle, as well as HFM.
