Position Summary

As a Logistics Coordinator I at Avon, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of products from their point of origin to their final destination. Your role will involve collaborating with various internal departments, external partners, and clients to ensure that logistics processes run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to excel in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the transportation of goods, which includes scheduling shipments, monitoring delivery status, and ensuring prompt arrival at destinations.
  2. Demonstrate expertise in ERP systems (preferably SAP), maintain accurate records, and effectively track purchase orders.
  3. Maintain and update purchase orders within internal systems, ensuring detailed shipment records and adherence to compliance standards.
  4. Engage in effective communication with carriers, suppliers, and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries while resolving any logistical challenges.
  5. Monitor stock levels and work closely with procurement and warehouse teams to enhance inventory management and reduce stock shortages.
  6. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company policies governing transportation and logistics activities.
  7. Utilize logistics software and systems to monitor shipments, create reports, and evaluate performance metrics.
  8. Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements and cost-saving measures within the supply chain.
  9. Keep precise records of shipments, invoices, and related documentation.
  10. Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and managing any complications that arise during transit.

Essential Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related discipline.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in logistics coordination, ideally within a comparable sector.
  3. Proficient in ERP systems, particularly SAP.
  4. Experience with state-line shipments and large box retail operations.
  5. Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and logistics methodologies.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Proficient in logistics software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  8. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  9. Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.
  10. Adaptable and equipped with problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges in the supply chain.
