As a Logistics Coordinator I at Avon, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of products from their origin to their final destination. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the transportation of goods, including planning logistics, monitoring shipments, and ensuring prompt delivery.
- Demonstrate expertise in ERP systems (preferably SAP), maintain accurate records, and effectively track purchase orders.
- Manage and update purchase orders within internal systems, ensuring comprehensive shipment documentation and compliance.
- Engage in effective communication with carriers, suppliers, and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries while resolving any logistical challenges.
- Track inventory levels and work closely with procurement and warehouse teams to enhance stock management and reduce shortages.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company policies governing transportation and logistics activities.
- Utilize logistics software and systems to monitor shipments, produce reports, and evaluate performance metrics.
- Identify areas for process enhancement and cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain.
- Maintain precise records of shipments, invoices, and related documentation.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and managing any complications during transit.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in logistics coordination, ideally within a comparable sector.
- Proficient in ERP systems, particularly SAP.
- Experience with state-line shipments and large retail operations.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and logistics methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in logistics software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.
- Adaptability and problem-solving capabilities to address unexpected challenges in the supply chain.
