Job Title: Project Manager at a Michigan-based commercial construction company

Our client, with over 75 years in business, is seeking to expand its team by hiring a Project Manager. The ideal candidate will embody the company's core values of Competence, Reliability, Sincerity, and Care.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively leads the pre-construction process, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Establishes an overall schedule using the Pull-Planning process, guaranteeing timely project completion.
  • Facilitates clash detection and ensures issue resolution, maintaining a high level of project quality.
  • Leads Owner Meetings and keeps the Client informed, fostering strong relationships.
  • Examines and controls project risks and costs, ensuring financial stability.
  • Prepares monthly Profit Projections, providing accurate financial insights.
  • Plans and leads the close-out process, involving all parties and ensuring a smooth project conclusion.
  • Ensures accurate Client billing, maintaining a high level of financial integrity.
  • Coaches team members under responsibility, promoting professional growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • 4-year college degree preferred in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience with Project Site, Plan Grid, or Phoenix is a plus.
  • Superior command of commercial construction processes.
  • Desire to be part of an inclusive work team.
  • Proven track record of safe, timely project completion.
  • Outstanding planning and scheduling skills.
  • High sensitivity to Client needs.
  • Effective communication with all involved parties.
  • Strong understanding of risks and costs management.
  • Familiarity with Prolog/ Encompass, Plan Grid, and Textura.
  • OSHA 30 certified.
