Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Career Development Facilitator to join our team at Equus Workforce Solutions. As a Career Development Facilitator, you will play a critical role in preparing job seekers for career pathways and facilitating job readiness and job search skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement a 3-5 day Orientation schedule with work readiness content in tandem with the team lead.
  • Schedule and conduct workshops, webinars, orientations, and other classroom activities designed to prepare job seekers for career pathways.
  • Develop and maintain a catalog of all learning opportunities available from the Professional Learning team.
  • Create a schedule and content to cover programming for each: Virtual Reality, Orientation/Testing, and Workforce Readiness.
  • Provide classroom instruction to participants on various topics in preparation for job readiness and job search, and ultimately job placement.
  • Engage and motivate participants to help them develop the skills needed to secure employment.
  • Conduct group participation activities to build self-esteem.
  • Work with the Talent Development Team to facilitate job search and placement, maximizing retention.
  • Maintain accurate workshop data, including attendance rosters, evaluations, and other reporting documents.
  • Administer pre and post surveys to support the data collection requirements of the company.
  • Document all work activity in the WIT Case Management system.
  • Coordinate online learning activities; assign appropriate courses related to individual employment plans and goals, and monitor progress.
  • Administer Pre/Post-test assessments per curriculum and course certification documented.
  • Conduct assessments of skills, aptitudes, and abilities.
  • Research and identify and deliver appropriate curriculum as needed to meet course objectives.
  • Use The Academy, LinkedIn Learning, Metrix, Classroom courses, and other online learning resources to promote permanent employment.
  • Ensure adequate preparation for all training activities; materials on hand, room set-up, etc.
  • Interpret employer feedback given from PD and BDL to tailor course content as needed to deliver a strong talent pool.
  • Perform all other training and training management duties as assigned.
  • Improve the job readiness score of students in workshops and deliver a pipeline of work-ready customers to staff.
  • Conduct follow-up outreach to students not engaged in classroom activities and document efforts in case management systems.
  • Maintain students' assessments in files and student database.
  • Communicate effectively to both oral and written.
Qualifications
  • Related Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Office software programs.
  • Ability to work with a variety of cultures, languages, educational, and economic backgrounds in a classroom setting.
  • 3-5 years of instructional design and facilitation experience, preferably related to career preparation. Obtain NCDA Facilitating Career Development Training and Certification Certification within 6 months of employment.
  • Strong facilitation, public speaking, and guided learning background.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lead learning processes and relate to diverse populations.
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing and proof of current automobile insurance required.
