Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Commercial Estimator to enhance our operations within the Commercial Division. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Exhibit professionalism consistently and embody the Company’s Core Values.
  • Engage with commercial clients via phone and in-person to provide assistance with quotations and daily sales inquiries.
  • Prepare precise customer quotes by collecting proposals and related documentation, as well as interpreting plans, blueprints, and project specifications.
  • Calculate costs, including materials, shipping, and time requirements.
  • Provide quotes for current product lines as applicable.
  • Ensure meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in generating customer quotes, resolving discrepancies, and analyzing outcomes.
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately, including coding, costing, and pricing, while adhering to all administrative, accounting, and credit procedures.
  • Maintain a weekly bid log on the portal or shared files for management and sales to facilitate bid follow-ups.
  • Review and issue revised quotes and submissions as required.
  • Enhance technical knowledge by reviewing publications, attending product knowledge sessions, and participating in educational workshops as approved.
  • Foster and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Uphold a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
  • Prioritize safety at all times.
  • Collaborate with departmental staff to offer or request assistance to meet all deadlines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Contribute positively to the branch's overall efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of estimating experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with plumbing products, fixtures, faucets, and drainage and piping systems, both residential and commercial, is preferred.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as order entry systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Responsive to customer needs, demonstrating excellent customer service, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through on all quotations.
  • Skilled in researching customer requests using vendor resources and the Internet.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Capable of multitasking and meeting established deadlines.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Excellent communication skills, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor with customers and colleagues.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and managing stressful situations.
  • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment.
