Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Commercial Estimator to contribute to our Commercial Division. Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit professionalism and embody the Company's Core Values at all times.
  • Engage with commercial clients via phone and in-person to assist with quotes and daily sales inquiries.
  • Prepare precise customer quotations by collecting proposals and relevant documents, and by interpreting plans, blueprints, and project specifications.
  • Calculate costs considering materials, shipping expenses, and time requirements.
  • Offer current product lines whenever applicable.
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in producing customer quotes by verifying submittals, resolving discrepancies, and analyzing results.
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately, including coding, costing, and pricing, while adhering to all administrative, accounting, and credit-related procedures.
  • Maintain a weekly bid log to facilitate follow-up on bids.
  • Review and generate revised quotes and submittals as necessary.
  • Enhance technical knowledge by reviewing publications, attending product knowledge meetings, and participating in educational workshops as approved.
  • Establish and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with department staff to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Contribute positively to the branch's overall efforts.
Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of estimating experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with plumbing products, fixtures, and drainage systems, both residential and commercial, is preferred.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as order entry systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Responsive to customer needs, demonstrating excellent customer service, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through on quotations.
  • Skilled in researching customer requests using various resources.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting established deadlines.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Excellent communication skills, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor with customers and colleagues.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Must operate in a drug-free workplace.
