Join Our Team as a Patient Care Assistant

**$4,000 Sign-On Bonus** for eligible candidates committed to a one-year tenure with the Commonwealth of Virginia.

**Position Overview:**
As a Patient Care Assistant, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, providing essential support to patients in a 26-bed General Medicine Unit. Your role will involve assisting with various aspects of patient care, including those requiring psychiatric and rehabilitative support. You will be responsible for administering personal care tasks, which encompass feeding, bathing, grooming, changing clothing, and aiding with mobility.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Measure and document vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration for each new patient upon admission.
  • Accurately record and communicate patient information through electronic medical records.
  • Maintain a consistent level of performance regardless of workload fluctuations.
  • Report observations concerning patient welfare or condition to the appropriate nursing staff and care providers.
  • Identify emergency situations and promptly notify the relevant personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in accordance with established protocols.

**Compensation:**
Hourly rate starting at **$20.34**.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Licensure: Valid Certified Nursing Aide certification and CPR certification.

**Physical Requirements:**
Ability to remain on your feet while attending to patients and engage in significant mobility throughout the facility.
