Position Overview:
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Certified Nurse Assistant. This position is vital in providing essential support to patients within a healthcare environment. The responsibilities include assisting patients with their personal care needs, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere, and performing basic nursing tasks as directed by registered nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily personal care to facilitate optimal recovery during their stay.
- Execute fundamental nursing duties as assigned by a registered nurse, adhering to established policies and procedures to enhance patient health and wellness.
- Ensure a secure environment and safe delivery of care.
- Carry out administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain necessary skills and competencies for effective patient care.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
The compensation for this position is set at an hourly rate of $20.34.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: No prior experience necessary; relevant experience is preferred.
- Licensure: Must possess Certified Nursing Aide certification (CNA) through the Virginia Board of Nursing and American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification.
The role involves frequent bending, stooping, and may require driving (for Home Health Aide positions). Candidates must demonstrate proficient communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lift and move patients safely. Exposure to various health-related conditions may occur.
