Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant I to join our team at the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tucson. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our Catholic Cemeteries - All Faiths Office, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide secretarial and administrative support to the business manager and other assigned managers, including preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster communication and work collaboratively with parishes, the public, and diocesan employees to ensure effective coordination and record-keeping.
  • Record Keeping and Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including cemetery records, and perform data entry tasks as required.
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Assist with planning and coordinating events, such as funeral services and memorial services, ensuring that all necessary arrangements are made.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to families and individuals, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Team Support: Provide support to All Faiths Cemetery personnel as needed, including assisting with tasks and projects.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associate degree in business or public administration from an accredited institution or equivalent experience, plus one year of experience as a receptionist or secretary in a small, medium, or large firm or equivalent experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in computer technology, including word-processing, spreadsheets, and internet research, ability to maintain confidentiality, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced office environment, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information is essential. The position may require occasional travel and weekend work.
