Position Summary
The Nursing Adjunct Instructor is responsible for effectively teaching students in designated courses and maintaining office hours for student consultations.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Exceptional oral and written communication skills are essential for engaging with students. Proven ability to work successfully with students through formal training and relevant work experiences. A commitment to providing high-quality customer service is required.

Physical Requirements
May be required to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications
A Master's Degree in Nursing with a minimum of three years of relevant experience and possession of an unencumbered Texas RN license. Official transcripts will be required during the interview process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide students with a comprehensive course syllabus.
- Engage in the evaluation of the instructional process and implement innovative strategies to enhance learning.
- Contribute to the development and support of the discipline by recommending educational materials, revising curricula, and suggesting teaching assignments when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of course activities.
- Participate in professional activities and fulfill responsibilities as agreed upon with the division dean, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared objectives.
- Value and promote collaborative processes.

Utilize knowledge of diverse learning styles to effectively incorporate various instructional methods.

- Participate in student advising and registration processes.

- Leverage technology to facilitate learning, manage records, generate reports, and communicate effectively with others.

- Meet professional obligations in accordance with the System's calendar and contractual commitments.

- Adhere to District board policies, state and federal regulations, and the student code of conduct as applicable.

- Commit to the college's mission and goals by participating in planning division objectives and budget requests.

- Serve on and attend college committees as assigned.

- Participate in campus commencement exercises and attend other required college meetings and activities.

- Engage in personal performance evaluations.

- May collaborate with student clubs and organizations.

- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills to enhance interactions between the District and various organizations, businesses, community groups, as well as faculty, staff, and students.

- Promote the college within the community by engaging in various marketing initiatives.

- Participate in professional development activities.

- Complete required professional development training hours as mandated per academic year.

- Perform additional duties as assigned.
