Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a Lead Salesforce Solutions Architect who possesses a robust understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem and coding best practices. This role requires an individual who can assess our existing systems and align them with our business goals, identifying opportunities for enhancement and developing effective solutions. The ideal candidate will excel in change management and governance, and will be adept at communicating, prioritizing, and overseeing all facets of Salesforce development projects. This position involves collaboration with stakeholders across various levels, as well as teamwork with colleagues in the Technology Operations department. You will be responsible for translating complex technical concepts into accessible language for non-technical stakeholders, clearly articulating design alternatives and their implications, while executing development tasks to meet project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Tier 1 Service Desk team to manage user and license administration, including onboarding and offboarding users, defining roles, profiles, permissions, and sharing rules.
  • Oversee Salesforce configuration adjustments, encompassing Apex scripting, Flow, Process Builders, assignment rules, approval workflows, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, applications, actions, custom settings, mobile management, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Work alongside IT Project Managers to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into scalable, best-practice solutions that prioritize user experience.
  • Utilize Salesforce best practices and agile methodologies for development and documentation, ensuring comprehensive technical documentation for feature deployments.
  • Facilitate the deployment and management of Salesforce updates from a Sandbox environment to production.
  • Identify and optimize underutilized platform features.
  • Manage data quality within Salesforce, implementing necessary rules and automation.
  • Conduct proactive monthly system maintenance, including security reviews, release updates, and change management reporting for compliance audits.
  • Assist with escalated support inquiries from end users and internal Tier 1 Service Desk personnel.
  • Collaborate with integrated applications and technical integration teams.
  • Stay informed about Salesforce releases, new functionalities, and industry trends, providing insights for enhancing development processes and applications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Salesforce development, administration, or a related role.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification is mandatory.
  • Extensive background in the administration, development, and maintenance of Salesforce platforms.
  • Experience in executing Salesforce upgrades and ensuring successful integrations through custom coding.
  • Proficient in basic code customization within Salesforce Integration, including Apex classes, test classes, VisualForce pages, and Lightning Web components, with a solid understanding of migrating Salesforce code from Sandbox to production.
  • Exceptional skills in creating and maintaining Salesforce databases.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Salesforce products and their functionalities.
  • Expertise in configuring Salesforce profiles, assigning roles, and managing access permissions.
  • Experience in importing sales data and generating Salesforce reports.
  • Ability to provide training and support to Salesforce end users.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management skills, capable of prioritizing multiple projects in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as Platform Developer I, Platform App Builder, Advanced Salesforce Administrator, CPQ Specialist, or Field Service/Service Cloud Certifications are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Atlassian tools, and NetSuite ERP is a plus.
