Position Summary

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for spearheading the discovery, design, and implementation of Active Directory Services and Privileged Access Management solutions within a hybrid infrastructure. This role requires meticulous documentation of technical processes, participation in compliance audits, and serving as a subject matter expert in Identity and Access Management (IAM). The engineer will also explore and prototype innovative solutions to identity-related challenges while optimizing existing systems and evaluating emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure operational excellence across multiple Active Directory environments, focusing on version control, vulnerability management, and overall system health.
  • Proactively monitor security measures for Active Directory, including threat detection and user behavior analytics.
  • Maintain and enhance Privileged Access Management platforms, ensuring robust security assurances.
  • Develop automation scripts using PowerShell or similar languages to streamline repetitive tasks.
  • Safeguard privileged accounts through an enterprise-level Privileged Access Management system.
  • Enforce just-in-time and just-enough access protocols to maintain productivity without compromising security.
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to IAM structures, configurations, and application integrations.
  • Collaborate with architects across various domains to promote IAM best practices and documentation.
  • Foster relationships with business and technology stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Engage in team discussions, change control processes, and audit activities, while participating in on-call rotations.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers, instilling a sense of responsibility and pride in quality outcomes.
  • Support the organization's commitment to risk management and data integrity.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Identity Governance Focus
  • Provide DevOps support for Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions, including incident management and new functionality implementation.
  • Possess advanced proficiency with IGA products such as Sailpoint, Oracle Identity Manager, or Saviynt.
  • Demonstrate expertise in identity governance aspects, including attestations, analytics, and entitlement management.
  • Integrate IGA solutions with various platforms, such as Active Directory and AWS.
  • Utilize knowledge of SQL, REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and PowerShell for system integration and testing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in supporting and managing Active Directory in hybrid environments.
  • 5+ years of experience with Privileged Access Management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including Single Sign-On and Multi-Factor Authentication.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Familiarity with both Windows and MacOS environments.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud services.
  • Knowledge of regulatory environments such as PCI DSS.
  • Experience managing Active Directory PKI and related platforms.
  • Capability to lead strategic planning sessions for project development.
Physical Requirements

This position primarily involves a standard office environment with sedentary work, requiring extensive computer use. Occasional physical activities may include standing, walking, and lifting light objects. Candidates must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
