Our DOD/Aerospace client is seeking to fill a Senior Systems Architect - SDA position. In this role, you will engage in requirements analysis and management, functional assessment, performance evaluation, system architecture, trade studies, systems integration, and testing (verification) in the development and assessment of networks and information systems. To qualify, you should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or a related field, along with over 5 years of pertinent experience. US Citizenship is a requirement.

Position Overview: As a Senior Systems Architect, you will be involved in various critical tasks including:
  • Conducting requirements analysis, definition, and management, alongside functional and performance assessments under the guidance of the lead systems architect.
  • Performing technical planning, cost and risk assessments, and evaluating supportability and effectiveness for subsystems and system components.
  • Analyzing customer requirements, developing system specifications, and defining allocations to lower levels (elements and components).
  • Executing detailed technical evaluations for subsystem or system components.
  • Developing and assessing systems, networks, and information systems to ensure compliance with applicable governmental security standards.
  • Providing system accreditation/certification evaluation and testing support to ensure all technical security features function effectively.
  • Creating system security documentation for both new and existing information systems.
  • Participating in Modeling and Simulation activities.
  • Researching and analyzing data, including vendor products, COTS components, specifications, and manuals to assess design feasibility.
  • Supporting the generation of technical engineering deliverables using appropriate standards, processes, and tools throughout the system development lifecycle.
  • Potentially leading and guiding junior employees.
  • Independently determining approaches to solutions.
  • Contributing to the successful completion of major programs and projects.
  • Planning and executing project tasks for the activities described above.
  • Engaging in creative and innovative responsibilities that require advanced decision-making skills.
  • Defining processes for technical platforms, system specifications, and compatibility parameters for hardware and/or software.
  • Demonstrating sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques for solution attainment.
  • Designing comprehensive and complex frameworks, systems, or products.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving system design vulnerabilities.
  • Maintaining regular communication with senior levels of internal working groups.
  • Interacting with Deputy Program Managers Engineering (DPME) and other professionals within the Engineering department and project teams across the organization.
Key Qualifications:
  • Expertise in coordinating external interfaces and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
  • Proficiency in multi-level security domains (and cross-domain).
  • Ability to efficiently decompose requirements to prevent requirements bloat and effectively communicate/track impacts.
  • Experience working with related personnel from various organizations.
  • Knowledge of system-level networking and the ability to coordinate detailed network design.
  • Capability to discern in-scope and out-of-scope elements and manage associated complexities.
  • Familiarity with agile program methodologies.
