Reporting Structure: Reports to the VP of Sales

Position Overview:
As a Senior Solutions Architect, your main role will be to grasp the technical nuances of our offerings and assist our sales team in effectively communicating with prospective clients. This entails collaborating closely with the sales personnel to ascertain client requirements, showcasing product functionalities during live demonstrations, and ensuring both the sales team and clients comprehend the technical elements of our solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales executives to strategize, prepare, and implement complex sales initiatives.
  • Facilitate discussions with current and prospective clients to ascertain technical and business needs, ensuring comprehensive information is gathered prior to solution development.
  • Identify business requirements, outline strategies, present alternative solutions, and cultivate strategic partnerships.
  • Recognize business drivers and potential risks associated with clients and Foresight Intelligence.
  • Educate clients on various topics, including features, specifications, functionality, and implementation of tailored solutions.
  • Independently manage all technical components of RFP/RFI submissions.
  • Develop and present persuasive sales proposals (SOWs) and create technical documentation that highlights cost savings, ROI, and business advantages for Foresight clients.
  • Deliver technical presentations confidently, both internally and externally, at events, seminars, webinars, and client meetings.
  • Oversee technical trials from inception to completion.
  • Prepare turnover documentation and ensure a smooth transition to Customer Success.
  • Effectively communicate client needs for future product enhancements.
  • Work alongside the sales team to understand consumer demands and provide necessary sales support.
  • Present technical solutions to clients with professionalism and enthusiasm, transforming high-level directives into valuable opportunities.
  • Utilize whiteboarding techniques to illustrate optimal workflows.
  • Serve as the technical leader in the field, guiding the complete project cycle from intuitive demonstrations and POCs to final solution presentations.
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge and take the initiative to become the subject matter expert.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology is required.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer.
  • Professional Engineer License is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the telematics industry is highly desirable.
  • Project Management experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to engage independently with C-Suite and Technical Executives.
  • Demonstrated success in selling complex enterprise solutions.
  • Ability to build strong, lasting relationships with senior executives.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities; sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to clearly explain and present complex concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate across all levels of management and with both technical and non-technical clients.
  • Solid technical foundation with hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Detailed understanding of APIs and experience integrating multiple systems (financial, ERP) to manage workflows.
  • Proactive approach in the technical sales cycle.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for extended periods.
  • Mobility to accomplish tasks or move between different locations.
