Guest Services Specialist

Location: Reston, Virginia

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm

Salary: $50,689

We are in search of a dedicated Guest Services Specialist to enhance our client's world headquarters in Reston, Virginia. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of local businesses, entertainment options, and travel arrangements. We seek a professional who recognizes the significance of outstanding customer service. Key responsibilities include welcoming and registering clients and visitors into the Visitor Registration System, issuing photo IDs and access badges, ensuring building security, and representing the company with professionalism. Candidates should demonstrate a friendly and professional demeanor, be highly organized, committed, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and register guests, providing visitor badges
  • Make reservations at local venues upon request
  • Prepare and present beverage and snack options for guests
  • Handle phone inquiries and direct them to the appropriate department
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support
  • Schedule conference room bookings
  • Submit maintenance requests for building issues
  • Arrange catering for meetings as needed
  • Accompany guests as required
  • Follow up with guests needing assistance or solutions
  • Participate in and successfully complete all training programs.
  • Maintain the ambiance, style, and cleanliness of the Guest Services Desk, ensuring all brochures and materials are well-stocked
  • Flexibility in work hours is essential
  • All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Receptionist/Administrative role.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's degree or relevant coursework is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a busy front desk environment is advantageous.
  • Pleasant and professional phone demeanor
  • Basic understanding of local attractions and destinations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are crucial for success in this role.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a positive, problem-solving attitude, capable of managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in desktop computing platforms (PC) and applications (MS Office Suite).
  • Adherence to dress code and appearance standards.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

$50,689.00 – $50,689.00 USD per year

The listed pay range is a total compensation estimate, including potential bonuses. The actual offer will be based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and market alignment.
