Accentuate Staffing is collaborating with a dynamic manufacturing company in the Raleigh area. The Precision Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in upholding and improving the quality of machined components.

This position entails performing comprehensive inspections, diagnosing issues, and partnering closely with production and engineering teams to enhance operational processes.

You will be tasked with executing quality assurance protocols, rectifying any process shortcomings, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Oversight: Oversee the quality assurance procedures for machined components, ensuring compliance with established specifications and standards.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with production and engineering teams to enhance machining processes, with a focus on quality improvement, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Defect Investigation: Conduct thorough root cause investigations on machining defects or non-conformities, and develop corrective and preventive strategies to address these challenges.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of quality inspections, testing outcomes, and other pertinent data to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Data Interpretation: Utilize statistical methods to analyze machining data, identify patterns, and make informed decisions that promote quality enhancements.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and guidance to production operators and quality assurance personnel on inspection methodologies, quality control processes, and best practices in machining.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts aimed at enhancing machining quality, productivity, and overall cost-effectiveness.
  • Client Relations: Address and resolve client concerns regarding machined components, working in conjunction with customer service teams to ensure satisfaction.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant industry standards and regulations, ensuring that machining processes adhere to these guidelines.
  • Metrology Skills: Employ advanced metrology tools, such as vision systems, to streamline part inspections, including system programming and fixture design.
  • Fixture Development: Create and design fixtures for part or assembly inspections.

Qualifications:
  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: Proven experience in quality assurance within a machining or manufacturing setting, particularly with CNC lathes and screw machines.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of quality management systems, statistical analysis tools, and quality methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a focus on root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, capable of effective collaboration across various departments and conveying technical information clearly.
  • Documentation Experience: Familiarity with quality documentation and industry standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software is a plus.
  • Inspection Tools: Experience with vision systems or similar advanced inspection tools is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 per year
