Role Overview:
The Process Engineer plays a crucial role in facilitating all aspects of process management and continuous improvement initiatives. This includes the application of various tools and methodologies such as PDCA, 5S, SMED, and Kaizen activities. The role is essential in cultivating a culture of ongoing improvement throughout the organization. Additionally, this position will ensure that new products transition smoothly and efficiently into full-scale production.

The Process Engineer will have accountability for various tasks, with the possibility of specializing in specific areas based on plant needs:
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and recommend tools to address production challenges.
- Oversee and uphold the standards of our 5S process, including coaching shop floor personnel responsible for specific areas. This involves monitoring processes, auditing performance boards, and guiding team members on the significance of driving change.
- Engage in Kaizen Events, with more experienced process engineers taking a lead role in these activities.
- Direct and support initiatives that promote continuous improvement, such as Gemba Walks, Issue Boards, Rock & Boulder Boards, and Standard Work.
- Implement continuous improvement principles in workstation layout, workflow design, inventory management, and supply chain management.
- Adhere to good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety.
- Effectively incorporate feedback from team members into the process.
- Facilitate the seamless transition of new products into full-scale production.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean principles and the application of improvement tools is essential.
- Prolonged periods of standing and seated work.
- Occasional repetitive tasks involving upper extremities.
- Frequent use of a keyboard for data entry.
- Attention to detail is critical.
- Ability to properly wear and utilize personal protective equipment.
