Company Overview:
Accentuate Staffing collaborates with a dynamic manufacturing organization focused on precision machining. We are seeking a dedicated Machining Quality Engineer to play a crucial role in upholding and enhancing the quality of machined components.

Role Overview:
The Machining Quality Engineer will be pivotal in ensuring that all machined parts meet stringent quality standards. This position involves comprehensive inspections, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with production and engineering teams to optimize processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality assurance protocols for machined components, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with production and engineering teams to enhance machining processes, targeting quality enhancement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.
  • Defect Investigation: Conduct thorough root cause analysis of machining defects or non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of quality inspections, testing outcomes, and relevant data to comply with industry regulations.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize statistical methods to analyze machining data, identify trends, and inform decisions that foster quality improvements.
  • Training: Provide training and guidance to production operators and quality assurance personnel on inspection techniques and quality control practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing machining quality, productivity, and overall cost-effectiveness.
  • Customer Engagement: Address and resolve customer inquiries related to machined components, working with customer service teams to ensure satisfaction.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant industry standards and regulations, ensuring machining processes adhere to these guidelines.
  • Metrology Skills: Employ advanced metrology tools, including Vision systems, to streamline part inspections, including programming and fixture design.
  • Fixture Development: Design and develop fixtures for part or assembly inspections.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in quality assurance within a machining or manufacturing setting, especially with CNC lathes and screw machines.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality management systems, statistical analysis tools, and methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration across departments and clear communication of technical information.
  • Documentation Experience: Familiarity with quality documentation and industry standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software is a plus.
  • Inspection Tools: Experience with Vision systems or similar advanced inspection technologies is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 annually
