Job Overview:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for defining, researching, developing, implementing, and maintaining safe and cost-efficient manufacturing systems, processes, and methodologies. This role utilizes robust Engineering and Project Management techniques aligned with customer expectations, product specifications, and quality benchmarks. The engineer will lead and facilitate initiatives involving new or modified equipment, machinery, and continuous improvement efforts. Recommendations will be provided regarding safety, manufacturability, and product excellence, with a consistent focus on safety, quality, and productivity through a Lean approach.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Effectively communicates with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and adherence to deadlines.
2) Leads projects and collaborates with Operations, Product Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams throughout the development, implementation, and follow-up stages.
3) Develops and documents specifications for new machinery, equipment, and automation technologies.
4) Analyzes requests from team members for changes in manufacturing methods to enhance Safety, Quality, Delivery, Costs, and compatibility with existing equipment.
5) Proposes and develops manufacturing strategies that enhance customer value through waste reduction, shorter cycle times, and improved product quality.
6) Champions the creation and revision of work instructions in designated areas for organizational use.
7) Conducts analyses for cost savings, quality enhancements, and efficiency improvements.
8) Performs root-cause analysis and troubleshooting as necessary.
9) Conducts time studies and establishes standards.
10) Modifies and creates new routing procedures.

Additional Duties:

1) Provides support to the Safety Committee as required.
2) Shares responsibility for maintaining AutoCAD drawings of the facility, processes, and equipment with appropriate revision control.
3) Collaborates in maintaining and enhancing General Equipment and Machinery Specifications.
4) Undertakes other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

1) Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
2) Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities effectively.
3) Strong work ethic with the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
4) Highly motivated self-starter.
5) Excellent writing, presentation, communication, and organizational abilities.
6) Ability to perform under pressure.
7) Technical proficiency in manufacturing processes and methods, including flow, layouts, assembly, machining, and tooling.
8) Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach to innovation.
9) Quality-focused with meticulous attention to detail.
10) High level of computer proficiency, including AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
