Position: Echocardiography Technician - Nuvance Health

Overview: We are committed to delivering exceptional echocardiography services to our community. As an Echocardiography Technician, you will play a vital role in conducting high-quality echocardiographic examinations to ensure accurate and timely patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct a variety of echocardiographic procedures across all age demographics, ensuring the highest quality of imaging.
2. Educate and assist patients, their families, and healthcare providers regarding echocardiographic processes and their significance.

  1. Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of echocardiographic equipment, adapting techniques and methods to meet the needs of each patient.
  2. Ensure accurate documentation and timely input of data related to procedures.
  3. Maintain an organized work environment and manage supplies effectively, scheduling patients efficiently while collaborating with other departments.
  4. Collaborate as a team member within the Echo lab and across the healthcare system, fulfilling all required shifts.
  5. Engage in procedural decision-making and suggest improvements to enhance workflow efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality.
  6. Participate in educational initiatives and quality control meetings at various levels, ensuring continuous professional development.
  7. Adhere to all compliance requirements associated with the role.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required: High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an Ultrasound Education program with a focus on cardiac studies. Certification in Echocardiography from ARDMAS or CCI within two years of employment.
Preferred: Associate's Degree and a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
