Role Summary:
As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Echocardiography Technician is responsible for delivering high-quality echocardiographic examinations and services to enhance patient care. This role involves conducting echocardiographic assessments to facilitate timely and precise medical interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute a variety of echocardiographic procedures across all age demographics with professionalism, ensuring the highest standard of imaging quality. 2. Educate and assist patients, their families, and healthcare providers regarding echocardiographic processes and their significance.
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge and application of echocardiographic technology, adapting techniques and calculations to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including video recordings and data entry, accurately and promptly.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment, efficiently scheduling patient appointments and collaborating effectively with other departments within the healthcare system.
- Contribute as a cooperative team member within the Echo lab and the broader Non-Invasive Cardiology department, fulfilling all required shifts.
- Engage in procedural decision-making, proposing enhancements to operational workflows that prioritize both efficiency and quality.
- Participate in educational initiatives and quality assurance meetings at local, state, and national levels, ensuring ongoing professional development.
- Adhere to all compliance obligations associated with the role.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required: High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Education program with a focus on cardiac imaging. Certification in Echocardiography from ARDMAS or CCI within two years of employment.
Preferred:
Associate's Degree. At least one year of relevant experience in the field.
Compensation:
