Position Overview Role:
Echocardiography Technician - Nuvance Health
Objective:
To deliver exceptional and efficient echocardiography services to enhance patient care within the community. Conduct echocardiographic examinations to facilitate prompt and precise medical assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all echocardiographic assessments across various age demographics with professionalism, ensuring the highest quality of imaging.
- Prepare and guide patients, their families, and healthcare providers through the echocardiographic process, clarifying the purpose and procedures involved.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating all echocardiographic machinery, adapting techniques and calculations to meet the needs of each patient.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including video recordings and electronic data entry, accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain an organized workspace and manage supplies effectively. Schedule patient appointments with clear communication across the healthcare system to promote efficient operations.
- Collaborate as a vital team member within the Echo lab and broader cardiology department, fulfilling all required shifts.
- Engage in procedural decision-making and propose enhancements to improve workflow efficiency while upholding high-quality standards.
- Participate in educational and quality assurance meetings within the lab and at various professional levels, ensuring continuous professional development.
- Adhere to all compliance obligations associated with the role.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Mandatory: High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an Ultrasound Education program with a focus on cardiac imaging. Certification in Echocardiography from ARDMAS or CCI within two years of employment.
Desirable:
Associate's Degree and at least one year of relevant experience.
Compensation:
