This position involves performing echocardiographic examinations to facilitate accurate and timely patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct echocardiographic procedures across all age demographics, ensuring professionalism and the acquisition of top-quality images.
2. Educate and support patients, their families, and healthcare providers regarding echocardiographic processes and their significance.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of echocardiographic equipment, adapting techniques and calculations to meet the needs of diverse patients.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including video recordings and electronic data entry, efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain an organized workspace and manage supplies effectively. Schedule patient appointments while coordinating with other departments within the healthcare system.
- Collaborate as a team member within the Echo lab and across the Cardiology department to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Engage in procedural decision-making and propose enhancements to improve workflow efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Participate in educational and quality assurance meetings at various levels, ensuring ongoing professional development through continuing education.
- Adhere to all compliance requirements associated with the role.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required: High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Education program with a focus on cardiac imaging. Certification in Echocardiography from ARDMAS or CCI within two years of employment.
Preferred: Associate's Degree and a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
