Overview
The role of a Customer Service Representative I involves managing customer transactions with precision and professionalism. This position is pivotal in fostering customer relationships, enabling the sharing of product knowledge and services effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process transactions for both external and internal customers.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to facilitate product knowledge sharing and referrals.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using technology to complete banking transactions.
- Adhere to operational procedures to ensure seamless transaction processing.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements, including training on relevant topics such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering.
- Engage in sales initiatives as directed by management, promoting additional products and services to enhance customer relationships.
- Uphold a professional image for the bank at all times.
- Assist colleagues as necessary and undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience or training is preferred.
- Prior experience in cash handling and customer service is advantageous.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety guidelines and operational manuals. Proficient in writing routine reports and communicating effectively with groups.
Mathematical Skills
Competence in basic arithmetic operations and the ability to interpret numerical data.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to understand and follow instructions in various formats and solve problems involving concrete variables.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
A valid driver's license may be required for travel. Bilingual skills are a plus.
Physical Demands
This role requires regular use of hands for various tasks, frequent standing and walking, and occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
Employees may encounter moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and outdoor conditions.
