Assistant Food and Beverage Operations Manager

Job Summary

As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will assist in supervising daily operations to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and maintain the operating budget. This role requires a strong focus on quality, standards, and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations, including supervising staff, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Support and supervise an effective monthly self-inspection program to ensure compliance with all food and beverage policies and procedures.
  • Operate all department equipment as necessary and report any malfunctions.
  • Supervise staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Communicate areas that need attention to staff and follow up to ensure understanding.
  • Coordinate cleaning programs in all food and beverage areas, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Follow property-specific second effort and recovery plans.
  • Stay readily available and approachable for all team members.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the brand-specific service culture.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 3 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
