We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to lead our team in providing exceptional service to our guests at the Hotel Zamora, a luxury boutique hotel located in a beautiful coastal area. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising events and banquets, hiring and training front-of-house staff, and contributing to the profitability and guest satisfaction of our Food and Beverage department.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor adherence to quality and safety standards
- Work closely with the F&B manager and culinary team to provide efficient service
- Promote teamwork within the Food and Beverage department and between other departments to ensure smooth operations and quality service
- Supervise front-of-house associates, including staff direction, coaching, training, and evaluating
- Monitor the service of food and drinks to guests and customers, and demonstrate knowledge of labor laws and health compliance regulations, customer satisfaction, and brand standards
- Manage the daily activities of the food and beverage function
- Rally the team during heavy shifts, resolve conflicts, and take necessary actions to ensure job completion
- Inspect equipment to determine repair or maintenance needs and cleanliness
- Complete other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs
- Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service, and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environment
- Having an eye for detail and creativity to develop the food and beverage experience
- Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Proficiency with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Requires 1 year supervisory experience, preferably in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, club, or service industry
- Ability to work long shifts for special events and large crowds
- Sound knowledge of restaurant management software
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with community partners, vendors/external parties, and across internal divisions
