The role of a Terminal and Pipeline Operator encompasses the following responsibilities:

Management of valves and manifolds for the safe offloading of vessels, ensuring adherence to established protocols as mandated by the organization and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties are essential to the role, in addition to those previously mentioned. Various tasks may be conducted under diverse weather and environmental conditions, including precipitation, extreme temperatures, jet engine emissions, dust, and noise. Duties are performed both indoors and outdoors, in proximity to stationary and moving aircraft (including active propellers and engines).

  • Management of valves and manifolds for the safe offloading of vessels, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Overseeing valves and manifolds for product receipt from suppliers via pipeline tanker or barge deliveries.
  • Conducting personnel training sessions.
  • Maintaining operational reports and records for the department.
  • Participating in emergency response drills and training.
  • Conducting fuel quality control testing.
  • Performing janitorial and ground maintenance tasks.
  • Adhering to the station's attendance and punctuality policies.
Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Ability to successfully pass background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug screenings, and maintain the issuance of an airport security badge, as well as being insurable under the company's insurance policies.
  • Must possess legal authorization to work in the country of employment.
  • Maintains a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record for the past three years and any required airport identification or authorization.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent educational experience; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English and capable of performing basic mathematical calculations, specifically in measuring and reporting fuel storage and consumption levels.
  • Must be able to lift weights ranging from 50 to 100 pounds on occasion.

Compensation varies based on several factors, including skill sets, education, shift worked, responsibilities, seniority, geographical market, merit, output, productivity, prior training or experience, and travel. The hourly pay for this position ranges from $21.22 to $28.50.
