The role of a Terminal and Pipeline Operator entails:

Managing valves and manifolds for the unloading of vessels while ensuring compliance with established protocols as mandated by the organization and regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties are critical to the position, in addition to those outlined previously. Various tasks may be conducted under diverse weather and environmental conditions, including precipitation, extreme temperatures, jet engine emissions, dust, and noise. Responsibilities are performed both indoors and outdoors, in proximity to stationary and moving aircraft (including rotating propellers and engines).

  • Manage valves and manifolds for the unloading of vessels, ensuring adherence to company and regulatory procedures.
  • Control valves and manifolds for the receipt of products from suppliers via pipeline tankers or barge deliveries.
  • Conduct training for personnel.
  • Maintain operational reports and records for the department.
  • Engage in emergency response drills.
  • Perform quality control testing for fuel.
  • Carry out janitorial and ground maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to the station's attendance and punctuality policies.
Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to successfully pass background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug screenings, and maintain eligibility for an airport security badge, as well as being insurable under the company's insurance policies.
  • Must possess legal authorization to work in the country of employment.
  • Hold a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record for the past three years and any required airport identification or authorization.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent educational experience; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English and capable of performing basic mathematical calculations, particularly in understanding measurements for reporting fuel storage and consumption levels.
  • Must be able to lift weights ranging from 50 to 100 lbs occasionally.

Compensation varies based on multiple factors, including skill sets, education, shift worked, responsibilities, seniority, geographical market, merit, output, productivity, prior training or experience, and travel requirements. The pay for this position ranges from $21.22 to $28.50 per hour.
